2025 — An awakening after a fall.

2025 in a snapshot

It's the end of 2025, a time for honest reflection on various aspects of my life to see how far I have come, the achievements I’ve unlocked, and the impact I’ve had.

If I had to summarise 2025, I’d say I got reintroduced to the mental gymnastics of adulthood, everything that could go wrong went terribly wrong, and everything that could go right went right. Ultimately, I believe I discovered something truly precious.

Goals

I had no specific goal for 2025, which is quite interesting because in previous years, I lived by lists, a rigid plan, and a notepad. This year, I didn’t, yet ironically, I achieved more this year compared to other years. These wins did not come without battles.

The highs:

• Academic Success: I received my Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence from De Montfort University (UK), including an award for the “Best Project” in the faculty.
• Career: I stepped into a Senior Engineer role, surrounded by some of the smartest people in the world.
• Influence: I gave over six talks, was featured in a university broadcast regarding AI, and began mentoring others in the ML space.
• New Beginnings: I moved to a new country, moved into a bigger space, started a new business, and began work on my first research paper.
• Inner Work: I finally got into therapy and, most importantly, I found Salvation.

The Fall

Despite the visible progress in my career, 2025 exposed several structural weaknesses in my personal life.

For much of the year, my finances were under pressure, an unfamiliar position after years of relative stability. In retrospect, this was due to gaps in financial strategy and long-term planning. At the same time, my relationship began to lack clarity and direction, and my health, both physical and mental, took a fall.

These issues compounded, prolonged uncertainties led to periods of indecision and delayed execution. A number of projects failed to materialise due to misaligned priorities and diminished internal clarity. Over time, this displaced my confidence and made self-doubt an increasingly default response.

This phase made me realise, progress isn’t necessarily additive; often, it requires sitting still and subtracting noise and expectations that no longer serve a purpose.

Finding Myself

In the face of my failures, I came face-to-face with my inadequacies. Ah! Clarity of seeing my own shortcomings, for one very obvious one, I was my worst critic; I spoke harshly to myself for every mistake, and my outcomes affected my outlook.

I met amazing and beautiful people who reshaped my view of the world. They showed me that I don’t need to be less ambitious; I just need to approach life with a little more empathy and kindness.

Realisation & Moving Forward

My biggest realisation is this: Artificial Intelligence is good, but Human Intelligence gives it purpose. So I have stopped trying to spend time building the next billion-dollar AI startup, but going deep into my “creative bank” to find real, creative solutions.

I also decided not to control the narrative of outcomes I cannot change. I am no longer worried about people, things, or loved ones leaving; I am only concerned with my reactions to these things and ensuring I do not act out of character.

For character development, I think I needed all that happened to me this year.

• I learned to be more patient with my ambitions.
• To live a little slower to enjoy the tiny moments.
• I have become less anxious and less dependent on people or situations for happiness.

Now I feel productive with a true sense of alignment.

2026: The Principles of Multiplication

My goal for the year ahead is to learn the principles of multiplication. For the first time, my ambitions are greatly beyond myself.

• Can I multiply my team’s outcome?
• Can I amplify confidence in others to unlock their potential?
• Can I scale the impact of my knowledge?
• Can I help that entrepreneur compound their revenue with tech?
• Can I accelerate the pathway for others to break into tech?

I’m also committing to a research-focused path, preparing to pursue a PhD, authoring technical papers, and developing medical and cloud-based solutions. I’m also investing in my personal brand to amplify the impact of my work.

To me, 2026 is a call to Purpose Alignment, awakening of God's gift that dwells in me and letting God's light shine through me (Matthew 5:16).
